WORK ASSIGNMENTS
Are you a certified teacher in Swedish, Swedish as a Second Language (SVA), English, and French who wants to work long-term and relationally to create safety, trust, and motivation?
At Titan School, which is Landskrona City's resource school, we work purposefully to counteract the obstacles and consequences that neuropsychiatric disabilities can entail for learning, participation, and social development. We design teaching, treatment, and learning environments with great care and with the student's safety and motivation in focus.
You will work closely with the students, with clear structure and predictability in the teaching. In this role, mentorship is of great importance. You will have fewer mentees than in a traditional school environment, because mentorship is one of the key factors for our students, both socially and academically. You will work long-term and relationally and follow the students closely in their development over time. You will be responsible for the entire student's school day in collaboration with your colleagues. The tasks include among other things:
- Independently plan, implement, and evaluate teaching in grades 4-9.
- Participate in the work team's joint planning, development work, and collegial conversations.
- Be an active member of the work team where you take great responsibility for the students' best interests.
- Collaborate with colleagues, student health services, and guardians to create sustainable solutions regarding the students' development and well-being, and to drive operational development.
- Mentorship means that you work closely with the student both academically and socially. You follow the student's development, create clear support structures, help the student handle school days, and collaborate closely with guardians, student health services, and colleagues.
- Ability to meet students in affect or stress with calmness, clarity, and always a low-affective approach.
With us, you can be an active part of the school's development work and contribute together with colleagues to create a safe, trustful, and professional learning and working environment for both students and staff. Do you want to be part of an engaged work team that is constantly looking for ways to develop and optimize teaching, strengthen students' independence and development? Then you might be the one we are looking for!
QUALIFICATIONS
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for you who are creative and like to find new solutions, while simultaneously working with long-term perspectives, foresight, and predictability in your work. You work structured and purposefully, and handle stress and changes in everyday life in a calm and stable way. You should also be able to handle students in affect with a low-affective treatment. You thrive in meeting with others and create lasting and good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You need to have a cooperative attitude that actively contributes to a positive and inclusive working environment where we reach the goals together. We also see that you are receptive and have a constant curiosity about how learning environments can be developed and have a good ability to collaborate with others to create sustainable solutions.
You need to have a good understanding of how students with neuropsychiatric functional variations are affected by demands, environment, social contexts, and changes, and be able to adapt your treatment, teaching, and planning for students' school exposure based on conditions and needs.
