We are looking for a Senior Accountant for a growing company in the environmental and recycling sector. The client is an established player playing a key role in the transition to a more sustainable society by offering services in waste collection, recycling, and resource-efficient management.

The organization is in an expansion phase with high ambitions for continued growth, which places increased demands on the finance function. Therefore, we are now looking for an experienced accountant who can contribute stability, structure, and specialist competence in accounting and group reporting.

In this role, you will become part of a dedicated finance department where you will work closely with the accounting team, controllers, and the Finance Manager. The assignment involves both operational and analytical work with a focus on qualified accounting, reporting, and support to the business. A key part of the responsibility is to ensure accurate financial reporting to the group's international parent company.

Responsibilities

• Handle ongoing accounting and bookkeeping.
• Be responsible for balance reconciliations and year-end closing activities.
• Participate in and support group accounting and financial reporting.
• Work with chart of accounts structure and mapping.
• Handle various finance-related queries and ad hoc tasks.
• Support the business in matters concerning financial monitoring and controlling.

We are looking for someone who has

• At least five years of experience in qualified accounting.
• Extensive knowledge of group accounting and IFRS.
• Good understanding of financial controlling and economic analysis.
• Ability to communicate fluently in both Swedish and English.

Experience with Visma Business NXT is a plus.
