About the Unit
M4 is the Naval Staff's logistics department, consisting of three sections. The logistics department is responsible for the Navy's logistics during deployments, operations, and exercises. Furthermore, the department is responsible for capability-building logistics, primarily within supplies, healthcare, and warehousing.
The Staff Assistant is located at the logistics section within M4. The logistics section plans, functionally leads, and follows up on logistics in connection with naval operations, deployments, and regulates the logistical readiness of the naval units. Furthermore, the logistics section regulates logistical referrals within the Navy and participates in exercise planning.
Main Responsibilities
The Staff Assistant is part of the operational logistics detail unit, which is a sub-function of the logistics department within the Naval Staff. The Staff Assistant provides staff support to the operational logistics detail unit with various tasks related to logistics, in particular. The main task is primarily of an administrative nature in the Navy's command center at the log desk, but in some cases, it will include tasks that involve support to other parts of the logistics department. You will participate in the Naval Staff's exercises, planning, and execution of operations and deployments.
The Staff Assistant supports, participates in, and works with other parts of the logistics section's tasks where readiness may be included.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Completed conscription or military basic training with good grades
- Good computer skills
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing

QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working in the Swedish Armed Forces' support systems and FM AP with software such as Outlook, Office, and PRIO.
- Experience working as a Staff Assistant in the Swedish Armed Forces.
- Experience from working at a unit or logistics unit.
- Knowledge and experience of staff service.

The employment is a permanent position with a 6-month probation period according to the Swedish Armed Forces' agreement for group officers, soldiers, and sailors (GSS/K).

Working hours are mainly during the day, but evening duty may occur during specific operations and other working hours during exercise periods for support or participation.
Official travel occurs within the framework of the duties.
An employment with us involves placement in a security class. Swedish citizenship is usually required.
Security clearance with register check is carried out before employment according to Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act. Employment entails an obligation to be war-placed. The employment also includes an obligation to serve abroad.
