Job Description

We are now looking for you, a primary school teacher for grades 4–6, to join Tingdammsskolan! You will be part of a team of qualified teachers where you together plan and are responsible for the students' education and development, as well as deciding on any needs for subject integration or project studies in your classes. Your focus is on creating the best conditions for each student in a safe and trusting environment. You educate and support the students in their social and knowledge-based development. You challenge students to take their own initiatives, develop their interests, and take responsibility for themselves and others. At Tingdammsskolan, you are offered the opportunity for professional development in your role as a teacher, as well as working in modern facilities with nature close by.

We believe that teaching quality increases through differentiation and are careful about student safety, which provides a good study environment. In addition to your teaching team, you will also collaborate with special needs educators. You are led by a school administration that encourages own initiatives, sees your engagement with the operations, and satisfaction in your work. In your assignment, you work with mentorship towards some of our students. In your role as a mentor, you have specific responsibility for a group of students, through which you get the opportunity to follow them more closely in their knowledge development and personal maturity. As a mentor, you create a good relationship and communication with the student's guardians and inform about the student's knowledge development through regular development talks.

Qualifications

You who apply are a certified teacher with eligibility for teaching in grades 4–6 with eligibility in Mathematics, Science (NO), and Swedish/Swedish as a Second Language. If you have previous experience working as a teacher, we see this as meritorious. It is a requirement that you have worked as a mentor. You have good insight into and knowledge of the school's governing documents and can use them effectively in your daily work. Furthermore, you have good didactic and pedagogical skills and can therefore lead and organize your work to create a study environment and a good learning environment for our students throughout their school day. Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work, and with good knowledge and practice, you work efficiently with relevant digital tools. Of course, you have a professional attitude and work for good relationships with our students, their guardians, and all your colleagues at the school.
