Linåkerskolan is the municipality's only 7-9 school and has approximately 350 students. The school is divided into four work teams, each with its own base location. These bases feature classrooms, group rooms, science labs, staff workrooms, and smaller gathering rooms for students. Our shared facilities also include a department for special education, an auditorium, a student cafeteria, and a school library.

Most importantly to us is that all our students become eligible for upper secondary school and that they are doing well on the way there. This is, of course, a major challenge that unites the school's staff regardless of professional category; we know that the solution requires great cooperation. Therefore, there is intensive work underway to continuously develop the organization and direct efforts at both individual and group levels. The dynamics at the school are high; we constantly change, adjust, and seek solutions to make things as good as possible for our students.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a curious and engaged teacher in Swedish and Spanish to join our team. As an individual teacher, you have great autonomy to plan and conduct your teaching, where all teaching is based in Google Classroom. The role also includes mentorship, which means you have a special responsibility to follow up on and support individual students' development in close cooperation with their guardians. You will be part of a fixed work team led by a team leader, where you have a joint meeting time once a week and where virtually all your teaching is located at your specific base. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with your subject colleagues, developing the subject collectively through recurring subject team meetings, where you set common frameworks for which areas are studied in each grade.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are attracted by our school culture and the description of the role. To fit the role, you are a certified teacher in Swedish and Spanish for grades 6-9, or are currently undergoing teacher education, alternatively having other experience that the employer deems equivalent. You have previous experience working at the lower secondary level and in your work, you have a clear student focus. You see the competent student, are engaged in pedagogical development work, and see opportunities rather than obstacles. With your drive and engagement, you inspire your students, while remaining positive and having good cooperation skills. You actively work to create good relationships with both students and parents as well as colleagues, and you feel completely comfortable communicating both verbally and in writing. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
