Mathematics Teacher for Grades 7-9 – IES Landskrona

Internationella Engelska Skolan (IES) in Landskrona opened its doors in 2017 and is a comprehensive school (Grades F-9). Nearly 600 students and 70 staff members meet here daily. We are a bilingual school (Swedish/English) following the Swedish curriculum, where our meetings and daily communication take place largely in English. The position is full-time and permanent. The start date is August 7, 2026. A probationary period of six months applies.

About Us and the Role

We are looking for an engaged mathematics teacher for grades 7-9 who wants to motivate and challenge students in their learning. Together with your colleagues, you will plan and conduct teaching that sparks curiosity, develops problem-solving skills, and creates a deeper understanding of everyday life. You will become an important part of our team and contribute to creating a safe and supportive learning environment where every student has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Your Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct inspiring pedagogical activities in accordance with LGR22.
• Develop a positive learning environment where all students feel seen and heard.
• Collaborate with colleagues, guardians, and others to ensure the holistic development of students.
• Document and follow up on students' individual learning processes.
• Teach in both Swedish and English.
• Homeroom teacher duties for 16 students in grade 9.

Who Are We Looking For?

You are a certified teacher with qualifications in mathematics. We are looking for someone who is pedagogical and creative in their work with students, as well as empathetic and attentive to students' individual needs and development. You are committed to creating an inclusive environment where every student has the opportunity to grow.

We expect you to have experience working with pedagogical documentation and very good knowledge of the curriculum. You have a direct and humble communication style and build trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.

At our school, study environment is important, which is why you need to be confident in your teaching role and have the ability to create a good working climate in our student groups. You need to be a team player, have a high work ethic, and enjoy working with people in an international school environment. You need to have good communication and collaboration skills with students and colleagues, as well as a desire to contribute to the development of our school.
