International English School (IES) in Trelleborg is now looking for a Student Assistant. Take the chance to become part of our fantastic team!
In your role as a Student Assistant, your primary responsibility is to provide daily support to students with various challenges and NPD (Neurodevelopmental Disorders) variations. This mainly involves being available to students during lessons, transitions, breaks, and meal times at both school and after-school care. In your work, you are responsible for ensuring that students feel motivated to learn and are engaged in their learning according to their own prerequisites. It is important in this role to recognize the different needs of students, take their individual conditions into account, and help them grow and develop. The goal is to increase student independence and work towards inclusion to the greatest extent possible.
We are looking for you who have relevant education to work as a Student Assistant, have experience working with children, and preferably pedagogical experience to meet the student's need for adjustments at the right level. Documented knowledge of NPD diagnoses, good collaboration skills, a solution-focused approach, and low-affective handling are meritorious.
