About the job

Your main task is to challenge students in their learning and support the student's knowledge development towards set goals, together with colleagues. In addition to planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching, you will work with colleagues in work teams to develop the school based on our prioritized development areas. Currently, we are focusing on developing structures within cooperative learning to increase participation and influence in teaching. Through the RTI method (Response To Intervention), we consciously work with early interventions in reading development and plan to include mathematics in the same way. At Stenhammar School, we also look inward at our own operations to find strengths and areas for development in a non-hierarchical way, in order to go as far as possible at the organizational, group, and individual levels.

Who are you

You are a certified teacher with the qualification to teach in grades 4-6, preferably with qualifications in Swedish, English, and Social Studies (SO). Your ability to create good, trusting relationships with students is a prerequisite.

We are looking for someone who is well acquainted with the subjects' purposes, abilities, and assessment criteria, and who is well versed in the school's view of knowledge and value-based mission. You have good knowledge and competence in formative learning processes, and you see great advantages in working cross-curricularly.

You have the ability to motivate and create situations that contribute to meaningful learning and accessible learning environments characterized by inclusion, variation, and participation. You have the ability to see and meet every student. You start from what works and organize broadly to reach as many students as possible through guidance and stimulation in teaching.

You see opportunities in close collaboration with others. Your learning in the collegial context is a matter of course. You reflect on and analyze your own teaching as a natural part of your practice.

You have very good ability to create good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You are communicative and creative. We would like you to be able, willing, and brave to think and try new things together with others.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Conditions

Permanent position 100% starting August 11, 2026, or as agreed.

Probation period may apply.

Extract from Criminal Record

Before being offered employment, you as a candidate are required to present an extract from the criminal record when working in any of the following areas; school or preschool, work with children in other activities than school and childcare, work with children according to LSS, work at or in connection with HVB homes (homes for care or custody), work with the elderly or persons with disabilities. You order the extract via the Police website. The extract must be presented before employment can begin.
