About the Workplace

Nödingeskolan is a preschool to grade 6 school located in Nödinge, close to Ale Square, with approximately 650 students. The school is divided into a lower school and an intermediate school building and has a large shared playground. We work in professional teams with the student's entire school day in focus.

The school is PALS-certified. PALS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports in Schools) is a research-based approach aimed at creating a safe, inclusive, and predictable learning climate. The work permeates both school and after-school care and is based on common approaches, clear structures, and active relationship building.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, develop, and follow up on teaching based on the curriculum and the students' various needs, with the goal that every student develops as much as possible.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment and actively work with values and strengthen the sense of community in the group.
  • Act as a mentor and support students' knowledge-based and social development, as well as the school's educational mission.
  • Maintain good and continuous contact with guardians regarding students' development and learning.
  • Work preventively and promotively for students' health and learning, identify needs for support, and implement adjustments and support measures as needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the work team to develop teaching and operations based on the goals of our systematic quality work.
  • Cooperate with the student health team and other professions to create the best possible conditions for each student, focusing on preventive and promotive work.

Qualifications

You are a licensed teacher with the qualification to teach in grades 1–3. It is an advantage if you have education in special education or experience in special educational work, even if you have studied Swedish as a second language. Experience teaching in preschool to grade 3 is advantageous, but we also welcome newly graduated teachers.

We expect you to have good knowledge of the curriculum (Lgr22) and the ability to translate it into teaching, as well as good didactic skills and understanding of how students learn in the early school years.

You are welcome to have knowledge and experience in differentiating teaching to promote all students' learning and various needs.
