The Child and Youth Administration is responsible for preschool, after-school centers, primary school, and adapted primary school grades F-9. In total, we are about 1,100 people working to provide good operations for our children and students today and prepare them for the future. Ängaboskolan is a F-6 school with just over 350 students in primary school. The school is located in southern Alingsås and is situated close to both forest and lake. The school's premises are spacious and fresh, allowing for a variety of working methods for both school and after-school activities. Around the school buildings, there is a large schoolyard that encourages our students to various recess activities such as football, basketball, bandy, gagaball, and various role-playing games. Ängaboskolan has many joint activities where the area around the school is utilized.

Ängaboskolan is looking for a student assistant with medical competence, with special knowledge in epilepsy and diabetes. You also have pedagogical education and/or experience working with students within the autism spectrum.

WORK ASSIGNMENTS

As a student assistant, you will work together with a team of teachers to create a safe and stimulating learning environment for students.

You play an important role in supporting students' individual development and well-being, and giving them the best conditions to succeed in their schooling.

In your role as a student assistant in school, you work with individual students and groups both in and outside the classroom. You can adapt teaching situations based on teachers' instructions and the student's/students' needs. You are a support during recess, outdoor activities, and transitions between lessons and activities.

Important parts of the work are active preventive safety work, stimulating the student's development and learning, social competence, peer relationships, and contributing to a democratic approach.

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential requirements:

• Medical competence, especially regarding epilepsy and diabetes.
• Experience working with students within the autism spectrum.

Meritorious:

• Pedagogical education in some form.

You are an engaged and stable person who contributes energy and drive to the daily work. You enjoy collaborating in teams, are flexible when situations change, and take initiative when needed.

You communicate clearly and build trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. With a structured and solution-focused approach, you meet students' different needs and adapt your support based on their individual conditions.

Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: 6 months or longer.
