About the Preschool

Parent Cooperative Preschool Okay is a small, family-oriented, and well-functioning preschool with space for 18–19 children aged 1.5–6 years. We have just over four positions in children's groups, plus a principal. We are now looking for a new preschool teacher to join our dedicated team.

The preschool is located in Guldheden and features large, beautiful premises with a lovely yard that inspires varied play. We continuously develop our outdoor environment based on the children's interests and needs. During spring, summer, and autumn, when the weather permits, we eat our meals outdoors on our nice patio. The children also sleep outdoors in their own strollers regardless of the season or weather.

Since 2009, our preschool has implemented pedagogy according to Friluftsfrämjandet's "I Ur och Skur" (In and Out of the Rain), where nature is used as a natural part of teaching year-round. We see outdoor time as a crucial prerequisite for children's learning, health, and well-being. Outdoor life, outdoor pedagogy, and environmental awareness are therefore central concepts. The children's groups go on forest excursions every week in the different outdoor groups "Knopp", "Knytte", and "Mulle".

As a parent cooperative, we value close collaboration between educators and guardians. Both educators and parents are engaged in the operations, and together with the children, we create a safe, fun, and educational preschool. At Okay, we strive to maintain high staff-to-child ratios and small groups. Here, you as an educator have excellent opportunities to shape and influence the operations together with your colleagues. We actively work with learning environments, both indoors and outdoors. We are looking for you who

• Have a preschool teacher degree.
• Have previously worked in a preschool.
• Have previous experience from a cooperative. This is meritorious but not a requirement.
• Have a great interest in outdoor pedagogy, nature, and outdoor life.
• Are secure, responsible, and engaged in your pedagogical mission.
• Have good collaboration skills and appreciate close dialogue with guardians.
• See opportunities in working in a smaller operation where everyone contributes to the whole.
• Have experience with I Ur och Skur operations or other outdoor pedagogy. This is meritorious, but we place great emphasis on personal suitability and commitment.
