About the role

Our client is a global company in the construction industry, known for its innovative products in the premium segment and has a familial, non-hierarchical corporate culture.

In the role of Economics Assistant, you will be an important support for our client's finance department and assist with ongoing accounting tasks. This is a broad role with good development opportunities. The need is approximately 15 hours per week, where you are expected to work 2–3 shifts per week. You will set up your schedule together with the nearest manager on-site at our client's office. You have the opportunity to work more during Christmas and summer holidays.

This is a consultancy assignment where you will be employed by Academic Work and work as a consultant for our client. Read more about our consultancy offer. The assignment is long-term during your study period provided all parties are satisfied.

Responsibilities

You will handle a variety of ongoing economic tasks, from bookkeeping and invoice processing to reconciliations and some assistance with year-end closing. The role involves gradually learning new areas and contributing to the efficiency of the department.

• Ongoing bookkeeping
• Accounts payable, receipt registration, and invoice coding
• Registration of payments in SAP
• Control and approval of payment lists and expense reports
• Bank reconciliation
• Assist with year-end closing processes

We are looking for someone who

• Has at least 1.5 years left of post-secondary studies in economics
• Has good computer skills
• Has good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as these are used in daily work

It is an advantage if you have

• Experience with SAP or similar business systems
• Relevant experience with part-time jobs in economics

Our recruitment process
