We are currently looking for an engaged educator or industry expert for a role within vocational higher education. The assignment involves introducing students to the fundamentals of maintenance technology and giving them an understanding of the professional role of a maintenance technician.

About the Assignment

You are responsible for planning and conducting an introductory course in maintenance technology. The course aims to provide students with basic knowledge of maintenance work, safety, roles, and responsibilities, as well as the importance of maintenance for operational reliability and efficiency.

Teaching can be conducted through lectures, group work, discussions, and supervision.

Course Content

• Fundamentals of maintenance technology
• Purpose and significance of maintenance work
• Different types of maintenance
• Safety work within maintenance
• Roles and responsibilities within maintenance operations
• The impact of maintenance on quality, operational reliability, and cost-effectiveness

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct teaching
• Develop course materials and exercises
• Supervise students
• Conduct knowledge assessments according to the course plan
• Evaluate and grade students
• Document the course implementation according to educational procedures

We are looking for someone who

• Has documented experience in maintenance, industry, production, or related technical fields
• Has a good understanding of safety work in industrial operations
• Has the ability to convey knowledge in a pedagogical and engaging manner
• Is accustomed to working independently and in a structured way

Merits

• Experience as an educator, supervisor, or teacher
• Experience from process industry, manufacturing industry, or technical operations
• Experience in adult education or vocational higher education
