Teacher (Grades F-3) at Tjärnaskolan, Borlänge

Tjärnaskolan is a primary school with approximately 300 students from preschool class to grade 6. We are building for the future, where the working environment is central. Major investments have been made during the last academic years, and this commitment will naturally continue in the coming years. We believe in working as a flexible organization to meet every student's needs. We have an inclusive basic approach, meaning the classroom is the student's natural arena. All support functions work together with the teachers in the classroom, such as IT-pedagogues, teachers of Swedish as a Second Language (SVA), counselors, speech therapists, supervisors, special education teachers, and special needs pedagogues.

We work in teams around each grade level, and we have a staff group with broad knowledge of children's different abilities, differences, and needs. Support and help are always available, including language-developing methods and visual aids. A system for joint planning exists, as well as competence development and peer supervision.

At Tjärnaskolan, students develop in an intercultural environment, giving them life skills regarding both other cultures and the life situations of different people. Job Responsibilities

Work as a teacher according to your qualifications in a team around grade 1, be a mentor for a group of students, and participate in school development together with the work team.

Qualifications

Basic requirements for the position:

• Licensed teacher for grades F-3 in the subjects Swedish, Swedish as a Second Language, Mathematics, and English.
• Very good oral and written skills in Swedish.

Personal qualities:

As a person, you are communicative, meaning you are skilled at making yourself understood and you are also a good listener. You collaborate well, which allows you to identify and meet needs and to question things in a healthy way. You are independent and can drive your own work and turn thoughts and ideas into action. You convey both your own and others' ideas on how the organization can be improved, and you set high goals and work hard and persistently to achieve them.

Meritorious qualifications:

• Licens to teach other subjects.
• Special educational competence and experience of working in schools from a teaching perspective, with an understanding of the assignment as well as the organization's challenges and needs.
• Experience working in a multicultural school environment.

Employment Terms

• Salary: Monthly salary.
• Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
• Duration: 6 months or longer.
• Working hours: Daytime.
