Description

We are currently seeking teacher substitutes for Gullmarsskolan 7-9, the municipality's only upper secondary school. This offers fantastic opportunities to work with all of the municipality's young people. Our school is an important social and cultural meeting place for our 450 students. Our students experience high levels of security and well-being, and our school is characterized by good relationships between students and staff.

Around 70 employees work here. We have very high teacher qualification levels and high competence within the team. We also have several other professions besides teachers who support our students both during lessons and between classes. They relieve teachers, allowing them to focus on learning and teaching.

The Principal leads the school together with the Deputy Principal, who, together with team leaders, form the school's management group.

There is an active staff club at the school that organizes activities and social events for the staff. This contributes to our very low sick leave rate, low staff turnover, and good job satisfaction.

Responsibilities

This is a substitute position for absent staff. You will be offered supervision and continuous support. The role also includes maintaining our learning environments, performing simple grading tasks, and supporting our teacher assistants.

You will be part of a work group with other substitutes and student support staff. You will also be part of our large special educational needs team, led by one of the school's special education teachers. You will collaborate closely with the Deputy Principal, who provides line management.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• has broad subject knowledge and good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• is confident in your leadership and can follow established rules and routines to create security and continuity for our students.
• has great personal maturity and integrity and can be an important adult role model. We work from a professional approach, where we can be personal but not private.
• has a good manner and the ability to establish and develop relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
• is an efficient and independent team player who thrives in developmental and flexible environments.
• takes initiative, sees what needs to be done, and does not wait for tasks to be assigned.

Conditions

The position is fixed-term in accordance with the Education Act. Great importance is attached to personal suitability based on the qualifications mentioned above.
