Gotland's Resource School welcomes students with extensive needs for special support. We currently have approximately 60 students and about 30 employees. The students require adjustments in the pedagogical, social, and physical learning environment that are so significant they cannot be met in a regular school setting. The Resource School features smaller student groups, specialized teacher competence, and the ability to provide individually adapted support.

The Speech and Language program for grades 7-9 operates at Solbergaskolan.

Your Responsibilities

The Speech and Language classes welcome students with general speech disorders. All staff work with language and communication throughout the entire school day. A language-developing approach in all subjects is necessary for students to succeed and reach their maximum potential in knowledge development. The school uses adapted learning materials and visual aids such as picture support and structural support. As a social pedagogue, you work closely with teachers and students. A large part of the job involves building relationships with students and creating structures and routines based on their needs and interests.

Together with the teachers, you plan the school day, support the teacher and students during lessons, and serve as a support for students during breaks and other activities.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who have experience working in schools. If you also have education as a social pedagogue, we consider it a merit.

You are curious, thoughtful, and interested in young people. You find it easy to collaborate and build relationships. You are proactive and come up with activities for and together with the students. You feel comfortable handling conflicts.
