In the heart of one of Malmö's most vibrant areas – between Triangeln, Möllevången, Sorgenfri, and Sofielund – lies St. John's Parish. Here, city life pulses around our churches, and people meet through music, conversation, faith, and community.
We are a parish with a clear profile in culture, diversity, and music, where our church spaces are open, lively, and filled with both stillness and activity. We are now looking for you who want to help shape the church's presence in this dynamic environment.
Your RoleAs an associate vicar with us, you will play a key role in carrying forward and developing the parish's worship life and interaction with people.
You will:
Lead worship services and church ceremonies
Be part of our dedicated confirmation team, engaging with young people in their life and faith questions
Work with parish activities in St. Pauli
Plan and be responsible for school contacts, grief groups, and counseling
Be an active part of making the church visible, relevant, and present in society
You will work throughout St. John's Parish, based in St. Pauli, and collaborate with colleagues in our three churches: St. John's, St. Matthew's, and St. Paul's.

We are looking for you whoAre ordained as a priest according to the Church of Sweden's order
Have good experience in parish work
Are passionate about worship development and the liturgical breadth of the church
Thrive in both teamwork and independent responsibility
Are digitally savvy and see communication as a natural part of the role
