Do you want to work on some of Sweden's most socially significant investment projects? Are you an experienced Project Controller who thrives on combining financial management, analysis, and close collaboration with operations?
We are now looking for a Senior Project Controller for a long-term consulting assignment where you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of future infrastructure and public transport.
🌟 About the assignmentAs a Project Controller, you will support major investment projects and be responsible for financial planning, monitoring, analysis, and reporting. You will become a key partner to project managers and project directors, ensuring that projects have the right financial prerequisites to achieve their goals.
You will work in a professional environment where operational control, financial oversight, and long-term development are in focus.
🎯 Your main responsibilities📊 Planning and structurePlan and structure financial work according to established processes and guidelines
Develop and maintain routines, processes, and financial tools
Create coding templates, guides, and support documentation
Support operations with coding and invoice handling
Responsible for ongoing forecasts, budget monitoring, and quality assurance of financial results
Participate in and lead finance-related meetings
Handle invoicing and monitoring of co-financing
Support project managers with financial data and accounting entries
Handle capitalization according to the K3 accounting standards
Prepare data for disposals and cost allocations
Monitor financial results against budget and forecast
Identify and analyze variances
Monitor contracts and financial commitments
Responsible for financial reporting to projects and management
Academic degree in Business Administration, Economics, or equivalent (minimum 3 years of higher education)
At least 8 years of experience in accounting, controlling, or financial management with responsibility for budget, forecasts, monitoring, and financial reporting
At least 3 years of experience as a Project Controller or Controller with responsibility for financial planning and monitoring of investment, infrastructure, or construction projects
Documented experience in supporting project managers and operations with financial matters throughout the entire project lifecycle
Experience in project budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and investment monitoring
Experience with financial management or project monitoring systems such as Hypergene, Antura, Avima, Primavera, or similar systems
Very good knowledge of Excel and the Office suite
Ability to work independently, structured, and proactively in complex project environments
Very good communication skills and experience collaborating with project managers, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders
Fluent in Swedish (written and spoken)
You are analytical, structured, and have the ability to create order in complex project environments. At the same time, you are communicative and thrive in an advisory role where you collaborate with many different stakeholders.
You take initiative, drive your work forward, and have a genuine interest in operational development and financial control.
📌 Practical details📍 Location: Stockholm
🏠 Hybrid work with the possibility to work both on-site and remotely based on operational needs
📅 Assignment period: August 10, 2026 – August 31, 2028
🔄 Good opportunities for extension (1+1+1 years)
⏰ Scope: Full-time, 40 hours per week
