Do you want to play a key role in a student's daily life and contribute to safety, development, and learning? We are now looking for an engaged student assistant for Åsbo School.

Åsbo School has approximately 130 students from preschool class to year 6. The school is beautifully located at Åsbodalen, 1 km from the community of Strålsnäs in Boxholm Municipality. The outdoor environment is truly adapted for children, featuring a football field, a large schoolyard with a garden park, and a barbecue area. The proximity to forests and nature makes outdoor activities a natural part of the teaching.

About the role

The assignment involves being a support for a lower primary school student during the school day, at recess, and during after-school care.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained as a childcare worker through the Child and Youth Care program, have pedagogical education at the upper secondary or post-secondary level, or have education focusing on psychiatry, social work, or functional variations. Other education that the employer deems equivalent may also be relevant.

As a person, you are sensitive, responsible, and have a genuine interest in working with children and young people. It is important that you are empathetic, flexible, able to build good relationships, and have good teamwork skills.

Previous experience working with children or adults with challenging behaviors or special needs is required. Experience working in a school, class, or special education group is advantageous.

The position is a fixed-term employment until 2027-06-15, with the possibility of extension. Scope 80-100%.
