You want to make a difference and be part of shaping the future. Here, you will receive trust, development opportunities, and knowledgeable colleagues. We work together and are convinced that everyone wants and can learn.
About the PositionBodaskolan is a school for grades 7-9 with an attached A-resource (a special education support group). The school is a place where people from many different cultures meet. We work to ensure that everyone is given the space, desire, and opportunity to develop, and that everyone feels safe, appreciated, and included. Characteristic of Bodaskolan are good relationships, engaged adults who take a holistic view of the student's development, and students who thrive and feel they are learning a lot. If you are interested in school development, are a teacher who wants to be a good leader and role model, and find it rewarding to work with language-developing methods, then this job is for you.
ResponsibilitiesAs a teacher in wood and metal crafts, you create, based on current curriculum documents, the conditions for students to develop ideas and consider different solutions and approaches within the craft subject. The work includes planning, implementation, assessment, and evaluation. You are responsible for a good pedagogical learning environment, adapting and planning the teaching to each student's level so that they can reach as far as possible in their knowledge development.
QualificationsYou, as an applicant, are a certified teacher with the qualifications to teach crafts for grades 7-9. It is an advantage if you are qualified in both textile crafts and wood and metal crafts.
You also have very good leadership skills and a natural aptitude for building relationships with young people.
You also have good knowledge of and experience working with students in need of support, students with challenges related to Neurodevelopmental Disorders (NPF), students with a linguistic background other than Swedish, and students with norm-breaking behavior.
You value and contribute to good collaboration by having an open, accommodating, and problem-solving approach. Since close collaboration with guardians, student health services, teachers, and other school staff is required, good collaboration skills and communication ability are essential. At the same time, you need to be self-reliant, ready to take responsibility, and enjoy working independently to thrive in the role.
You are flexible, have the ability to take initiative, and dare to try new paths to find solutions.
