Job Responsibilities

As a crafts teacher, you are responsible for planning, teaching, assessment, and documentation of students' knowledge development for students in grades 3-9, together with a crafts team consisting of four additional teachers. As a teacher, you work to promote each student's development and learning. Your responsibility includes creating good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. You lead the pedagogical work in accordance with the school's steering documents.

The position includes a mentorship role for one of the classes at the school, which you share with a colleague.

As a crafts teacher in wood and metal, you are also responsible for ensuring that safety regulations in the craft room are followed and that maintenance and servicing of machines are carried out.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher in crafts, wood, and metal. Other relevant education and experience are also meritorious.

You are creative and can engage and motivate students to learn.

You have a good ability to work with other people; to listen, show empathy, and respect.

With a flexible and solution-focused approach, you have a positive attitude and see it as your responsibility to create good and sustainable relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You are a good role model, like structure, are full of ideas, and see every interaction with students as an opportunity.
