Parkskolan is a two-track school for grades F–5 with approximately 230 students, centrally located in Aneby. This autumn, we will expand the operations to include grade 6, which means two additional classes and a student body of approximately 270.

Job Responsibilities

This autumn 2026, Parkskolan is looking for a special needs teacher. Your role will involve both mentoring teaching teams and staff regarding individuals/groups and working operationally with these groups. Individual support will be provided based on each student's individual needs.

As a special needs teacher, you plan teaching together with colleagues and the teaching team based on the curriculum for the groups or individuals you work with. In the collegium, we strive to adapt teaching, environment, and communication in various ways. You will support the teaching team with pedagogical mapping and assessment, mentoring, documentation, adaptation of the learning environment, follow-up, and evaluation.

As a special needs teacher, you are engaged, structured, flexible, and goal-oriented. You plan and conduct teaching that promotes learning and development in students, with full focus on each individual and their prerequisites. You document and follow up on development and communicate it with the principal, student, and guardian.

Qualifications

You are a licensed special needs teacher. We are looking for someone who has:

• High expectations of students and their ability to develop.
• Clear leadership, is responsible, organized, and result-oriented.
• The ability to be a relationship builder with a calm and low-affective approach.
• The ability to be sensitive to each student's prerequisites and needs.
• The ability to stimulate students' curiosity and desire to learn.
• Good teamwork skills and flexibility.

You have a good ability to create good relationships, clarify expectations, encourage your surroundings, and communicate with students, guardians, and colleagues. You easily put yourself in others' perspectives while maintaining professionalism and are well familiar with the school's governing documents. As an employee at Parkskolan, you dare to try and develop other working methods and are happy to share your knowledge and experiences with colleagues. You are driven and interested in being part of and developing collegial learning.

Personal suitability is highly valued as we value solution-oriented thinking and good teamwork skills. No specific experience is required, but experience is meritorious, especially if it has made you a better teacher.

Selection and interviews take place continuously. The position may be filled before the application deadline. Before employment, you must provide a certificate of good conduct, diploma, and proof of citizenship or work permit.
