About American High School, Stockholm - Campus Frescati Hage

In the autumn of 2023, we opened a high school by Brunnsviken in the scenic Norra Djurgårdsstaden area. The school is entering its fourth academic year this autumn and has approximately 500 students studying on the Natural Science, Social Science, or Business programs. Teaching is conducted in both English and Swedish by a competent teaching team with a strong sense of community.

About the Role

We are looking for a teacher to instruct our students in Swedish and supervise their final projects (gymnasiearbete). You are passionate about teaching and collegial collaboration and want to contribute to developing education at the school. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, assessing, and evaluating your own teaching. You are expected to lead lessons according to our pedagogical structure, for which you will receive guidance. You will work closely with a dedicated and cohesive teaching team, where collaboration and collegial learning are a natural part of daily life. You will teach in a digital environment using digital learning materials in combination with traditional literature.

The position also includes being a class mentor.

This is a permanent full-time position, starting with a six-month probationary period. Start date August 3, 2026.

Your Profile

For this position, a Swedish teaching license and eligibility to teach Swedish at the high school level are required. Experience in teaching, preferably at the high school level, is highly meritorious. You have a strong commitment to teaching and wish to develop the operations together with a strong team of colleagues, sharing our pedagogical view:

You are expected to have good communication skills in both Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing. You have the ability to use a broad spectrum of digital learning materials and possess stable digital competence.
