Do you want to make a tangible difference in the lives of children and young people – and contribute to a safer Halmstad? In the crime prevention unit, we work together across operational boundaries to strengthen protective factors and break negative patterns. As the need for crime prevention work is great, we are strengthening our team with additional social workers who want to be an active part of this important work and help develop a growing operation.
Your responsibilities
As a social worker in the crime prevention unit, you work closely with other actors to create coordinated interventions for children and young people. The work is based on the SSPF model (School, Social Services, Police, and Leisure), where you contribute to preventing crime, violence, and drug-related issues.

- plan, document, and follow up on action plans
- map needs, analyze situations, and propose measures
- drive and follow up on interventions in dialogue with relevant parties
- contribute to the unit's joint work and development
You move between different contexts and meet both individuals and groups. The work involves switching between analysis, collaboration, and implementation – always with the best interests of the child in focus.
