The primary school/special needs primary school operation is part of the Education Administration. The operation covers 21 primary schools as well as special needs primary school, and the total number of students is approx. 4,500. Four of the primary schools are upper secondary schools, while the others, with a few exceptions, cover grades F-6. The operation also includes after-school centers.

Skolgårda School (grades F-9 and after-school center) is located in the historic blocks around Motala Verkstad, close to the city center, Borenshult locks, and nature. Skolgårda has chosen to profile itself with a focus on goal achievement, safety, and well-being, and is not without reason proud of our good results! We have a high proportion of qualified staff and a collegium that stays at the workplace for a long time. This ensures good continuity for our students.

WORK ASSIGNMENTS

As a teaching assistant, you support teachers and students through instructional support, administrative tasks, and creating a safe and stimulating school environment. Your main task is to be a support in the classroom, usually at the group level, and assist students in their schoolwork. You work closely with teachers and students to facilitate teaching and contribute to a positive learning environment. The position may also involve preparing teaching materials, copying and organizing paper, reporting student information, and sometimes mapping individual needs.

You will also work with students in the playground environment, before and after the student's school day, to create the best possible conditions for the students.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• Education as a teaching assistant or equivalent pedagogical education.
• Experience from working in a school environment is meritorious.

• Good at collaborating and relating to others in a listening and flexible manner. You can adapt and find win-win solutions through a status-free focus on the common goal.
• Have the ability to understand different aspects of a problem and can find ideal solutions in an efficient way. You solve problems without missing the long-term strategies.
• Have a good understanding of how humans acquire knowledge and for people's different prerequisites. You adapt your way of conveying your message to the recipient.
• Have patience and a great commitment to children and young people.
