The Social Services Department operates a broad range of activities within elderly care, disability services, health care, and individual and family care. We currently have approximately 250 employees.

We are now looking for a Residential Support Worker for the group home at Domarringsvägen 1-7.

The operations are designed to create a safe and individualized environment where each user can develop and live an independent life based on their own prerequisites.

As a residential support worker, you will work with offering a meaningful and predictable daily life with structure for those living with us. Everything is based on the individual's abilities and need for help.

Working hours vary between day, evening, and weekends.

Your main tasks will be:

  • provide care, support, and service to users based on their individual needs
  • respond to and handle security alarms
  • delegated and instructed tasks from occupational therapists and nurses
  • documentation
  • act as a contact person

To be able to perform the tasks in our operations, you need to:

  • receive delegation to administer medication.
  • complete training in mobility skills to be able to perform safe transfers of users
  • be introduced to the work by existing staff, for at least 3 working shifts.

Of course, the training is conducted during paid working hours.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

  • are at least 18 years old
  • can speak and write in Swedish.

It is an advantage if you:

  • have a driver's license for a passenger car and driving experience, and that there are no obstacles for you to drive a car
  • can ride a bicycle
  • have care training
  • have experience working within LSS (Act for Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments).

This role requires that you have a genuine interest in working with people. You are sensitive and respectful of the fact that we work in other people's homes. You also need to have a good ability to plan your work and collaborate with others. You take initiative and see what needs to be done. We place great importance on personal suitability.
