We are looking for a Swedish/Swedish as a Second Language Teacher at IES Jönköping for a one-year substitute position

Are you a passionate and engaged teacher who wants to make a difference? We are looking for a teacher in Swedish and Swedish as a Second Language for our school. The teaching takes place in a dynamic environment where we focus on reading comprehension, literature, and language development. Here, you will have the opportunity to work in a strong subject team where we collaborate to develop teaching.
This is a full-time position, a one-year substitute contract, which may lead to a permanent position, with a start date in August 2026 or as agreed.
About the Role
We are an international school with 850 students from preschool class to grade 9. Our staff includes 130 employees from all over the world. As a teacher in Swedish/Swedish as a Second Language, you will be a key person in our team. You will be responsible for planning and delivering inspiring teaching, co-planning with your subject team, and acting as a mentor for a group of students. You will contribute to our positive school culture where we combine the Swedish curriculum with an international atmosphere.

We are looking for an engaged and competent teacher who is a positive and reliable team player. Qualifications we prioritize in candidates include:
- Licensed teacher in Swedish and Swedish as a Second Language (or studying to become a teacher).
- Experience teaching in lower secondary school (grades 7–9).
- Professional, responsible, and with a positive attitude towards students' potential.
- Ability to work independently as well as an active part of a team.
