Älvdalsskolan is a F-9 school with approximately 370 students.

Job Responsibilities

As a teacher for grades 7-9 with us at Älvdalsskolan, you will be part of a work team where we work together on teaching and the students. You are expected to plan, conduct, and evaluate your teaching both individually and within the work team. Collegial learning is the focus of the school's development work, where you are expected to be active and engaged. You are open, innovative, and dare to look at your work from the perspective of research and proven experience to challenge yourself and others in your work.

You will be a role model for students and have a significant impact on their development.

The position also includes class mentoring, and you will have close contact with guardians on an ongoing basis as well as during development meetings.

Who are we looking for?

To thrive in the role of teacher for grades 7-9 with us, you have the ability to establish contact and maintain relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You have the ability to put yourself in others' perspectives or situations. You also have a good understanding of how students absorb knowledge based on their different prerequisites and have the ability to communicate messages to students, guardians, and colleagues in a pedagogical way. You have the ability to work goal-oriented with the curriculum as a foundation and strive for higher goal achievement for students, which means that you plan, organize, and prioritize the work efficiently. You also adapt easily to changed circumstances or new prerequisites and needs. You can see the best for the operation and act accordingly in all situations.

• You have a teaching license with eligibility to teach in grades 7-9.
• It is meritorious to have work experience in classroom leadership with a focus on safety and study environment.
• It is also meritorious to have knowledge and experience in low-affective handling.
• You can communicate in Swedish in both speech and writing.
