We are looking for you who want to combine strategy, business understanding, and development drive to take Capio's compensation and benefits work to the next level.

In the role of Head of Compensation & Benefits, you will have overall responsibility for developing and driving work within compensation, benefits, pay structuring, and job architecture. You will have the opportunity to influence both strategic choices and operational development, becoming a key person in creating modern, sustainable, and competitive processes and structures that strengthen the business both now and in the long term.

You will work closely with the CHRO, HR heads in the business areas, and several central functions, playing a vital role in creating a common, long-term, and business-oriented approach to pay and benefits. In this role, you are expected to contribute to leadership in line with Capio's leadership framework – showing direction, building trust, being courageous, and promoting collaboration – in an organization that combines decentralized responsibility with increased collaboration and shared ways of working.

The role is based in Stockholm and reports to the CHRO Nordics. Travel within Sweden occurs in the role.

Main Responsibilities

  • Drive and further develop Capio's work within Compensation & Benefits, including compensation policies, benefits, and employment terms.
  • Responsible for Capio's annual salary review process and develop salary structures and principles for individual salary setting.
  • Own and further develop job architecture and job evaluation, with a focus on long-term structure, quality, and relevance to the business.
  • Drive work related to the EU Pay Transparency Directive and ensure compliance with collective agreements and labor law regulations within the compensation area.
  • Provide qualified expert support and contribute to strengthening Capio's HR Community and leaders in pay, employer policy, and wage formation.
  • Develop Capio's tools and systems within Compensation & Benefits in close collaboration with internal and external partners.
  • Work cross-functionally with HR, payroll, system administration, IT, and operations to create efficient, sustainable, and well-functioning processes.

Are you the one we are looking for?

  • You have several years of experience in Compensation & Benefits and are accustomed to working both strategically and operationally to create business-minded and sustainable solutions.
  • You have good experience with collective agreements, salary and terms-related negotiations, and labor law related to compensation issues.
  • You have worked with salary structures, salary reviews, job architecture, and job evaluation methodologies, and have a good understanding of how these areas interconnect.
  • You are used to driving cross-functional processes in complex organizations and collaborate confidently with HR, management, and operations in a way that builds trust and creates momentum.
  • You work data-driven and have strong analytical skills with experience handling complex salary and personnel data.
  • You have experience in change management, dare to challenge established ways of working, and thrive in environments where development, clear direction, and collaboration go hand in hand.
  • You express yourself fluently in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
  • Experience with SD Worx, Sysarb, or work related to the EU Pay Transparency Directive is considered an asset.

In this role, you will have significant personal responsibility and good opportunities to influence a key part of Capio's continued development. You need to have strong analytical skills and at the same time understand the value of creating consensus on issues that affect many parts of the organization. You thrive in an environment where you can think strategically and be operational when needed. As a person, you are solution-oriented, pragmatic, and confident in setting direction, building trust, driving development with courage, and creating results together with others. To succeed in the role, you also need to have a good ability to build long-term relationships and translate complexity into clear and sustainable solutions.
