About the Position

You are warmly welcome to join us if you are an engaged and curious social worker with experience and knowledge of authority work within the social services' child and youth operations, and a big heart for children, young people, and their families and networks.

We are currently hiring for both 1 permanent position and 1 fixed-term contract at our unit.

As a colleague to us at the Investigation Unit, we are jointly responsible for investigations according to the Social Services Act (SoL) / Care of Young Persons Act (LVU) legislation and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, as well as related follow-ups regarding interventions.

As an investigating social worker in Laholm, you belong to a unit with colleagues who support each other and help out when needed. In Laholm, as case handlers, we always have a co-handler and close, accessible support from both the Senior Social Worker and the Unit Manager. We have a strong conviction that an investigating social worker should never have to be alone in the difficult processes and decisions that are our mission, and that it is of utmost importance that we have many "sounding boards" to do the best and most legally secure work possible.

Our investigations are conducted based on BBiC, and we use Signs of Safety and solution-focused approaches as attitudes and tools for our risk and safety assessments. We have continuous supervision and training initiatives.

Are You the One We Are Looking For?

You are a Social Worker (socionom) or have another behavioral science university degree, together with experience and validation/complementation considered equivalent. You need to be well-versed in current legislation. We prefer that you have previous experience of authority work with children and young people. Education and experience in Signs of Safety and solution-focused working methods are meritorious.

You want to make a difference for children and their families, you believe in every individual's opportunity for change, and you see the family network as a positive driving force. You value children's participation and rights and have humility regarding the complexity of every person's context. You need to enjoy that the day does not always go as planned, which means you must be flexible and appreciate a varied job. We place great importance on personal suitability.

Conditions

We offer close supervision with continuous guidance and training so that you feel secure and can develop in your role here with us at Laholm Municipality. Interviews and recruitment may take place during the application period, and probationary employment may be applied.

A Category B driver's license is a requirement for the position.
