Your new job

In your role as a special needs educator (specialpedagog) in the Bankeryd preschool area, you will, together with the management team and staff, drive and develop the preschool's work. You will work closely with children, staff, and guardians, playing a significant role in promoting and preventive work at the individual, group, and organizational levels. Providing support in conversations, mentoring, and mapping and developing operations at various levels are key tasks that contribute to this.

The role of the special needs educator includes further developing teaching competence based on the principle that all children should be able to participate in preschool. You will work in close collaboration with educators, special needs educators, principals, deputy principals, and language pedagogues. In Jönköping Municipality, we actively work on developing children's language skills as part of long-term development efforts.

With professionalism, empathy, and strong communication skills, you will contribute to developing good relationships with children, staff, guardians, and other collaborating partners.

Our preschools work with the following goals:

• Every child is given the opportunity to understand and be understood.
• Staff focus on developing pedagogical relationships.
• The learning environment must be accessible to every child.
• Children should encounter an approach that promotes language and knowledge development.

The Bankeryd preschool area consists of 7 preschools and is located in the western part of the municipality. The area has approximately 430 children and 100 employees. We place great emphasis on creating trusting relationships with children, guardians, and colleagues to offer secure and educational care in preschool.

Your qualifications

You are a trained special needs educator with extensive knowledge of preschool operations and leading development work. As an applicant for this position, you are expected to have a salutogenic approach and a holistic view of what promotes children's learning and development.

We want you to be development-oriented and keep up to date through environmental scanning. The ability to create structure in operations, along with teamwork skills and creativity, are important qualities. You are communicative and clear, with the ability to build good relationships. We also believe that you are results-oriented and driven by working towards goal achievement.

Personal suitability is given great weight.

Before employing new staff for our teaching positions, we must ensure that a valid teaching license exists. We therefore ask you to attach a current teaching license obtained from the Swedish National Agency for Education within the last two months.
