We are now welcoming a colleague to our outpatient care unit located in Varberg.

Job Responsibilities

As a therapist at the eating disorder clinic, your main responsibilities will be qualified assessment and treatment work. You will work in a multidisciplinary team consisting of various professions such as nurses, social workers, treatment assistants, secretaries, physicians, dietitians, psychologists, and occupational therapists. The majority of the work will consist of therapeutic work with families and individuals. The role also involves consultation/advice, assessment, and may include investigative work.

About the Workplace

Eating disorder care in Halland is the smallest operational area within Region Halland and is organizationally part of child and adolescent psychiatry. We are a county- and age-spanning operation with outpatient clinics in Halmstad and Varberg. In Varberg, we also have a day care unit for adults.

The mandate of the eating disorder clinics is assessment/investigation, treatment, and consultation. The target group consists of individuals with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and other severe eating disorders deemed to require our specialized care. We work in a multidisciplinary manner based on psychiatric diagnosis, allowing psychosocial, psychological, and pharmacological treatment interventions to complement each other.

As we are an age-spanning operation, we collaborate closely with both child and adult psychiatry. Through collegial team support, we help each other create good care for our patients.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a social worker with experience in child and adolescent psychiatry as well as therapeutic work. Education in family therapy step 1 and/or CBT step 1 is meritorious, as is education in e-CBT. We place high value on previous work experience within eating disorder care.

As a person, you are self-reliant in your role, flexible, and have an easy time collaborating with your colleagues. We have high demands on the ability to create security and good relationships, as well as the ability to plan your work. Furthermore, we expect you to contribute to ensuring that everyone is treated equally through your humble approach.

To ensure good and safe communication with colleagues, patients, and other contacts, we require good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
