We are a force that connects, holds together, and develops the county. Within Region Västernorrland, we are all part of something greater.

About the Role

Do you want to make a difference in a complex organization? Become a negotiator at Region Västernorrland!

We are now looking for you who want to use your competence in labor law and employer issues to make a real difference. Here, you will have a central role where you contribute to developing and strengthening HR work – both strategically and operationally – to develop the region's employer policy.

As a negotiator here, you will have a qualified and developmental assignment where you represent the employer in labor law negotiations and contribute to positions on employer policy issues within the law and agreements.

You will become part of the HR Strategy and Projects unit within the Regional Administration's staff. Here, you will work together with engaged colleagues such as HR strategists, project managers, and the Chief Negotiator – all with a common goal: to create professional, sustainable, and efficient HR processes throughout the organization. If needed, you will replace the Chief Negotiator in contact with the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions (SKR) and region-wide collaboration. You report directly to the HR Director and serve as an important expert support primarily to HR colleagues, but also to managers in the organization when necessary.

The position is a permanent full-time employment, located at Regionens Hus in Härnösand. Start date is by agreement.

Responsibilities

In the role of negotiator, you will have a varied daily routine where you, among other things:

  • provide support and guidance based on the interpretation and application of labor law legislation as well as central and local collective agreements
  • serve as expert support in labor law and employer policy issues within the region
  • conduct negotiations with trade unions on assignment
  • provide support to HR consultants in rehabilitation processes
  • be responsible for labor law investigations
  • develop and create policy documents within the subject area and other labor law areas
  • serve as important support to your colleagues within HR
  • contribute to the development of the region's HR work

This is a role for you who thrives with both breadth and depth – and who appreciates working in a central function with many contact surfaces.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who

  • Have a degree in law or the Human Resources Management program with a specialization in labor law, and/or other education/experience that the employer considers equivalent combined with relevant work experience
  • Have work experience in labor law negotiations as well as practical application and interpretation of laws and collective agreements
  • Have very good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing
  • Have experience working in public administration

It is an advantage if you

  • Have experience working in public administration
  • Have good knowledge of relevant central collective agreements and General Provisions

Personal qualities

Your personal suitability for the position is important to us. We are looking for you who are calm, stable, and maintain control even in pressured situations. You have the ability to maintain a realistic perspective and focus on what is important to move the work forward. You work structured by planning, organizing, and prioritizing your tasks efficiently, and you are careful to set and keep timeframes.

You are self-reliant and take responsibility for your assignments, where you independently structure your work method and drive your processes forward. At the same time, you have a good overall view and understand the importance of considering the organization's best interest in your decisions and actions. Furthermore, you adapt easily to changed circumstances and can quickly change your perspective and approach. You see opportunities in changes rather than obstacles.

We apply individual salary setting.

Does this sound appealing? We warmly welcome your application!
