Höglandsförbundet – Collaboration is our strength!

Höglandsförbundet is a municipal association formed by the municipalities of Aneby, Eksjö, Nässjö, Sävsjö, and Vetlanda. These five municipalities, located on the Småland highlands, value cooperation and know that we become stronger together. By combining our strengths and resources, we can increase competence, utilize resources more effectively, raise quality, and provide better services to residents. Today, we host a number of different operations working for the best of the entire High Region.

Within Höglandsförbundet, there is also the Högland Education Cooperation, which currently consists of Höglandsgymnasiet with schools in Eksjö, Nässjö, Sävsjö, and Vetlanda. In total, we have approximately 550 employees working to ensure that our approximately 3,000 students receive a high-quality education that prepares them for future careers or further studies. In the summer of 2026, Högland's adult education programs will also join, located in Sävsjö, Eksjö, and Nässjö.

Sports Instructor for the Enduro Profile at the National Sport High School

Are you an enduro rider with personal experience from high-level competition? Do you have a passion for developing the next generation of enduro riders? The National Sport High School is looking for a knowledgeable and inspiring sports instructor who can guide our students toward sporting success.

Your new job

As a sports instructor with us, you will plan and conduct training sessions in enduro. You are the coach for our students in their sport, and the instruction takes place both in groups and individually. You are responsible for staying updated on training methods, safety, and competition rules in order to develop training strategies so that our students get the best possible learning environment and development within their sport. You will also work on developing group dynamics among the students so that, through a positive community, they can support each other in their development journey.

You work in a team together with the motocross instructor and contribute to a positive environment within our school and good cooperation between sports and school. As part of your assignment, you also participate in the planning and execution of camps, as well as participating as a coach in competitions during the season. Therefore, the assignment includes some work in the evenings and on weekends.

In your role as teacher/coach, you will have close contact with students, guardians, teachers, and other staff regarding the students to ensure a holistic education. Cooperation with Vrigstad Motorcycle Club is also important.

As an instructor, you also have close dialogue and cooperation with the Swedish Motorsport Federation regarding planning, operations, elite plans, and budgets. The National Sport High School's operations are a collaboration between the Swedish Sports Confederation, Svemo, and us as a school.

About you

We are looking for you who have completed upper secondary education. If you have a post-secondary education as a special physical education teacher, it is meritorious, as is other pedagogical education. You are an enduro rider yourself with documented successes from enduro competitions and with a good understanding of training, technology, and competition preparation. You are well-versed in how lifestyle, diet, and mental training affect the conditions for development in the sport. Previous experience of working as an instructor and relevant training from the Swedish Sports Confederation is meritorious. You have previous experience working with young people and youth sports. A BE driver's license is required.

As a person, you have a good understanding that pedagogy may need to vary depending on who you have in front of you, and you are good at adapting to different individuals' conditions. You take initiative and develop training so that students achieve good results. As a leader, you work to motivate and inspire students so that they continue to strive to develop in their sport, and you provide advice and exercises to enable continued development; you are not afraid to tweak exercises to reach the goal. You like to cooperate and are happy to take in others' advice and ideas.

Aleholmsgymnasiet is part of Höglandsgymnasiet, a collaboration between upper secondary schools in Eksjö, Nässjö, Sävsjö, and Vetlanda, all belonging to Höglandsförbundet. Together, we work to create a strong and innovative educational environment that benefits our approximately 3,000 students, of whom approximately 250 attend Aleholmsgymnasiet.

Good to know

The position is full-time starting at the beginning of the school year in August 2026. There are opportunities to influence the scope of the position for those with the right qualifications.

If you are called for an interview, you need to be able to prove your citizenship. You do this by showing a valid passport or a certificate of personal details together with a valid ID document. If you are a citizen of a country outside the EU/EEA/Switzerland, you must also be able to present a valid residence and/or work permit to work in Sweden.
