Job Content

The Specialist Nurse in Psychiatric Care program is distance-based and targets those who currently work as assistant nurses and wish to deepen their competence in psychiatric care for work within regions, municipalities, and with private actors. The program comprises 210 higher education credits, equivalent to two years of part-time study. The studies take place remotely via Teams, where we alternate between lectures, independent work, as well as discussion and group work. Students are also given the opportunity for physical meetings, which may involve travel for the educator. Skills training via LIA (Learning in Work/Practice) is included in the program.

You have overall responsibility for your education, which mainly means that you flexibly, creatively, and independently plan, conduct, examine, and ensure the quality of the education.

You also have the competence to formulate course syllabi and coach adult students towards their goals, and you will have close collaboration with the education manager in the planning and implementation of the education.

We are looking for you who have documented experience of pedagogical activities and teaching within the framework of care and psychiatric operations.

We see that you, as an applicant, have experience in flexibly driving and delivering educational projects with documented good results and/or have suitable education within care and social services. Are you a district nurse, registered nurse, or specialist nurse with a pedagogical aptitude, we see this as a strong merit!

You will come in with a fresh perspective and good knowledge of mental illness and specialized psychiatric pathology from a salutogenic approach, legislation, communication, and documentation.

You need to be able to take great responsibility for your area of work, be structured, be able to prioritize, and have a good ability to work both independently and in a group.

Qualifications

• Relevant university/university college education and/or work life experience from a relevant professional role
• Pedagogical education or experience in the field
• You are unpretentious and enjoy working both practically and administratively
• High digital competence, especially within O365, and the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new systems
• Good ability to understand and express yourself simply and clearly in speech and writing in Swedish
• You have a coaching approach with an interest in adult learning and competence development
• Collaboration is a clear keyword for you
• Strong sense of responsibility and good administrative ability
• You adapt easily to changed circumstances and focus on the right things

Meritorious

• Previous experience within university colleges and distance education
• Experience in independently planning, conducting, examining, and ensuring the quality of adult education

Other Information

The position is a permanent employment at 70% with an initial probationary period.
