About the School

Praktiska Gymnasiet Kristianstad offers students a concept where theory is mixed with practical exercises both at the school and at workplaces. At Praktiska, we hold ourselves to high standards to create the best conditions for an educational and enjoyable experience. Our teaching is characterized by flexibility, proximity, and practical learning. Our program offerings include Plumbing and Property, Construction and Infrastructure, Electricity and Energy, Vehicles and Transport, Hairdressing, Care and Nursing, and Sales and Service. Currently, the school has approximately 360 students and about 45 employees.

Your Role
This is a permanent position with 100% employment, starting as agreed. You will teach and supervise our students in the Plumbing and Property program, specializing as a Plumbing Technician. Together with other colleagues, you will be part of a work team. We see you as an important and driving force to develop both the program and the subject, with the students in focus and in collaboration with colleagues. In addition to profession-specific tasks, you, like other teachers at the school, will have duties such as mentor, and together you and your colleagues will coach the students both socially and academically throughout their three years at Praktiska Gymnasiet. We communicate primarily through Schoolsoft, and we work in a Google environment by sharing digital documents, calendars, and plans.

Your Profile
We are looking for you who are a certified vocational teacher in Plumbing and Property. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. If you lack teacher certification, you are still eligible to apply for the position. In such cases, you and the school principal will jointly create a plan for how you can become certified in the shortest time possible. The job duties include contact with the business community, as a large part of the students' study time consists of work-based learning (APL), making good communication with employers an asset.
