About the School

Praktiska Gymnasiet Kristianstad offers students a concept where theory is interspersed with practical exercises both at school and at workplaces. At Praktiska, we hold ourselves to high standards to create the best conditions for an educational and enjoyable experience. Our teaching is characterized by flexibility, proximity, and practical learning. Our program offerings include: Plumbing and Real Estate, Construction and Infrastructure, Electricity and Energy, Vehicles and Transport, Hairdressing, Care and Nursing, and Sales and Service. Currently, the school has approximately 360 students and about 45 employees.

Your Role
This is a permanent position with 100% employment, starting as agreed. You will teach and supervise our students in the Plumbing and Real Estate program, specializing as a Plumbing Technician. Together with other colleagues, you will be part of a work team. We see you as an important and driving force to develop both the program and the subject, focusing on the students and collaborating with colleagues. In addition to subject-specific tasks, you will have duties such as being a mentor, and together you and your colleagues will coach the students socially and academically throughout their three years at Praktiska Gymnasiet. We communicate primarily through Schoolsoft and work in a Google environment by sharing digital documents, calendars, and plans.

Your Profile
We are looking for you who are a licensed vocational teacher in Plumbing and Real Estate. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. You who do not have a teaching license also have the opportunity to apply for the position. In such cases, you and the school principal will jointly create a plan for how you can become licensed in the shortest possible way. The duties include contact with the business community, as a large part of the students' study time consists of workplace-based learning (APL), making good communication with employers a merit.
