About the School

Practical Gymnasium Kristianstad offers students a concept where theory is mixed with practical exercises both at school and at workplaces. At Practical Gymnasium, we hold ourselves to high standards to create the best conditions for a learning and enjoyable education. Our teaching is characterized by flexibility, proximity, and practical learning. Our program offerings include Plumbing and Real Estate, Construction and Infrastructure, Electricity and Energy, Vehicles and Transport, Hairdressing, Care and Nursing, and Sales and Service. Currently, the school has approximately 360 students and about 45 employees.

Your Role
The position is a permanent full-time employment starting as agreed. You will teach and supervise our students in Plumbing and Real Estate, specializing as a Plumbing Technician. Together with other colleagues, you will be part of a work team. We see you as an important and driving force to develop both the program and the subject, with the students in focus and in collaboration with colleagues. In addition to profession-specific tasks, you will have duties such as mentor, and together you and your colleagues will coach the students both socially and academically throughout their three years at Practical Gymnasium. We communicate primarily through Schoolsoft, and we work in a Google environment by sharing digital documents, calendars, and plans.

Your Profile
We are looking for you who are a certified vocational teacher in Plumbing and Real Estate. We place great importance on personal qualities. Those without a teaching license also have the opportunity to apply for the position. You and the school principal will jointly create a plan for how you can become certified in the shortest possible time. The job duties include contact with the business sector as a large part of the students' study time consists of work-based learning (APL), and therefore good communication with employers is an asset.

We value your ability to meet students based on their knowledge and needs, and that you identify with our values and keywords. Our students are eager to enter the workforce, and your biggest task is to guide them there!
