International English School Årsta is looking for a Special Education Teacher!
International English School (IES) Årsta is a compulsory school for grades 4–9 with approximately 530 students and 70 employees. About the Role
Together with your colleagues in the SEN (Special Educational Needs) team, you will play a vital role in creating an inclusive learning environment where all students have the right conditions to develop. By supporting students both individually and in the classroom, you ensure that every student has the chance to reach their full potential. Your responsibilities will include:
- Working with action plans and pedagogical assessments.
- Identifying and removing barriers in the learning environment.
- Contributing with structure, strategies, and solutions that strengthen student learning.
- Collaborating closely with teachers, mentors, and student health services.
Qualifications
- Qualified teacher with a teaching degree.
- Experience in adapted teaching in an international environment.
- Experience in student health-promoting work.
- You are confident in your leadership and skilled at building relationships with students.
A special education teacher qualification is an advantage.
Employment Terms
Permanent position with a 6-month probation period. Full-time (100%) daytime hours. Vacation cover position. Start date: August 2026.
