Job Responsibilities

We are looking for you who want to work awake nights within personal assistance together with a colleague. As a personal assistant, you provide support that creates security and a meaningful everyday life based on self-determination. Your work takes place together with the eligible person in their environment. The work during the night involves double assistance, which means that you are two colleagues.

As a personal assistant, you work to create conditions and you want to develop the individual's participation and independence in everyday life. In the work, you provide support and service according to the individual's decisions and individual needs as well as after the establishment of implementation plans. You work with social documentation according to the laws and guidelines that exist.

The personal assistant starts from the individual's needs and can therefore differ. We work from a salutogenic approach - every individual develops their resources and a meaningful everyday life.

There is a supervisor during daytime for support. We offer a good introduction, ongoing competence development, and work actively together to create a good working environment.

Personal suitability is crucial for the position and to succeed in the role as a personal assistant, we see that you have a user focus and an engagement for the target group.

Qualifications

For the work, it is required that you are confident in yourself. You have a genuine interest in working with people.

Receptiveness and a flexible approach are important in the work as a personal assistant as well as your ability to meet every person based on their conditions. The implementation plan where the individual's needs are in focus is our primary work tool and as a personal assistant, you have great opportunities to adapt the support for each individual. We assume that you feel comfortable taking your own responsibility.

We see that you as an applicant have completed upper secondary education and work experience. It is meritorious if you have previous experience of working with the target group and suitable education for the position such as assistant nurse, child and youth program or other education that the employer considers equivalent.

We naturally see that you promote the individual's integrity, participation in everyday life, and that your work is carried out with respect for the user's self-determination.
