About the position

We are currently seeking two personal assistants for a man in his 70s with Parkinson's disease who lives in Mariestad. He has an interest in history, enjoys watching TV programs about fishing, and likes playing chess and board games. He also appreciates going for walks and spending time with his family.

We are looking for you who want to work extra when needed. In the long run, there may be an opportunity to get fixed hours on Friday afternoons. He needs support with many aspects of his daily life, so your tasks will include supporting with daily routines, lifting, personal hygiene, meals, as well as dressing and undressing.

The working hours are scheduled on weekdays and weekends as follows:

• 14:30 - 21:30

About you

As a personal assistant with us, you play a crucial role in creating a safe and meaningful daily life for our client. You will be an important part of their life and contribute to their independence and well-being.

We believe that you who apply for this position are a person who is sensitive, calm, positive, and flexible. The most important thing is that there is personal chemistry between you as the applicant and the client. This may become decisive in the final selection.

It is an advantage if you

• Have knowledge of the Bosnian language,
• have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written,
• have previous experience within healthcare and social care as well as personal assistance,
• have healthcare education or equivalent.

Scope: Extra when needed. Number of positions: 2. Start date: According to agreement, but we would prefer that you have the possibility to start immediately. Selection and interviews are conducted continuously, and the position will be filled as soon as possible. Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other benefits in accordance with collective agreements.

Due to the fact that the position may involve solo work, night work, and tasks that according to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations (AFS 2012:3) cannot be performed by minors, you must be 18 years old to work as a personal assistant with us.

If you are to work with children and young people under 18, you are required to present a certificate of no criminal record. From March 1, 2026, new rules apply meaning that the register check will include both extracts from the criminal record register and the suspicion register. The extract is ordered via the Police Authority's e-service. Note that processing times may vary, so it is advisable to order well in advance.
