ABOUT THE POSITION

At Kura Omsorg, we are looking for you who want to work as a Personal Assistant. We offer a position of approximately 80% with a fixed schedule. The client has double assistance for parts of the shift on weekdays, between 14:00-16:30. Every other weekend occurs according to the schedule.

The working hours are scheduled as follows:

• 06:30 - 16:30 weekdays

• 14:00 - 20:00 weekdays

• 09:00 - 19:00 weekends

Start date is by agreement, and we would appreciate it if you could start the position immediately.

ABOUT THE CLIENT

Our client is a 14-year-old boy with a twinkle in his eye who lives with his family in Vänersborg. He has cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and uses a wheelchair. As his assistant, you will help him with everything in his daily life, from personal hygiene and transfers to playing video games, which is his favorite pastime. In addition, you accompany him to school on weekdays; afterwards, the working hours are scheduled at home or during various activities the family engages in together.

ARE YOU THE ONE WE ARE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for you with a heart in the right place. You are close to laughter, have a high work ethic, are proactive, responsible, and enjoy working with people. Personal chemistry is what ultimately weighs the most. Furthermore, as an assistant in this role, you should be prepared for manual lifting. Both the school, home, and car are adapted to avoid heavy lifting, but there are places where lifting assistance is not available.

REQUIREMENTS

• Valid driver's license and access to a car

• Not allergic to pets as there are a dog and cat in the home

• Non-smoker

• Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience working as a Personal Assistant

• Experience with epilepsy

• Experience with cerebral palsy

Employment level: 80%

Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other benefits in accordance with the collective agreement.

If you are to work with children and young people under 18, you are required to present a certificate of good conduct (extract from the criminal record). From March 1, 2026, new rules apply meaning the register check will include both extracts from the criminal record and the suspicion register. The extract is ordered via the Police Authority's e-service. Note that processing times may vary, so it is advisable to order well in advance.
