International English School (IES) Kista is part of Sweden's largest and most successful network of bilingual schools and accepts students in grades F–9. IES Kista has 640 students and 79 employees. We follow the Swedish curriculum (Lgr22), where up to 50% of the teaching takes place in English.

We are now looking for a certified teacher in Wood and Metal Craft for grades 3–9.

About the Position

As a teacher in Wood and Metal Craft at IES Kista, you will:

• Teach Wood and Metal Craft to students in grades 3–9 in accordance with the Swedish curriculum (Lgr22).
• Be knowledgeable and passionate about your subject and inspire students in both technical skill and design.
• Be a secure leader in the craft rooms, focusing on safety and a calm study environment.
• Plan, conduct, and assess engaging lessons that combine theory with practical craftsmanship.
• Adapt and differentiate your teaching to challenge and support students at different levels.
• Collaborate with colleagues within the aesthetic subject group to create an inspiring learning environment.
• Contribute to the school's positive and international atmosphere.
• As a mentor for 16 students, support them in reaching their full potential, regardless of background.

Qualifications

• Teacher degree and certification in Craft with a focus on Wood and Metal for grades 3–9.
• Strong communication skills in both Swedish and English.
• Experience teaching in an international or bilingual environment is an advantage.
• A structured, safety-conscious, and professional approach to teaching and teamwork.
