Workplace Description
We are offering six positions as amanuens (student assistant) in Computer Science at the Department of Computer Science at LTH, Lund University, funded by the research project TASS - Trustworthy Agent-based Decision Support in Software Development.
Generative AI is transforming software development, and tool support driven by Large Language Models (LLMs) is already established in many engineers' workflows. Development is moving quickly, and new variants of LLM-based tools that can perform more sophisticated tasks without direct supervision are beginning to emerge. There are great opportunities in this development, but also challenges. We need to shape these tools so that we gain insight into their decision-making and know to what extent we can trust this new wave of AI tools.
Within TASS, we explore how AI-based decision support in software development should be designed to provide reliable, high-quality assistance. The project is a collaboration between Axis Communications AB, Robert Bosch AB, and Lund University, and our focus is on the design of agents within the continuous integration of software changes. In this context, we want to investigate to what extent a design that incorporates elements to build trust and effectively utilizes contextual information can contribute to reliable, high-quality decision support.
Responsibilities
As an amanuens, your tasks may vary, and the duties are intended to give you insight into the academic world at the faculty where you are studying.
Your tasks for this employment include:

- Assisting in the use and evaluation of developed prototypes.
- Assisting in the preparation and presentation of scientific results.
Work within the project takes place in close collaboration with our project partners, Robert Bosch AB and Axis Communications AB. The tasks involve handling sensitive information, which places high demands on integrity, judgment, and security awareness.
Qualifications
