Fredriksdalsskolan is a school with approximately 330 students. Fredriksdalsskolan – the school of opportunities. For us, the school is an important and meaningful place for both students and staff. We work for a school characterized by positive encounters, joyful learning environments, community, and participation. We strengthen the positive and build on what works. We encourage and motivate all students to reach as far as possible in achieving their goals and to feel hopeful about the future. Digital and formative learning processes are a natural part of supporting every student's learning.

Responsibilities

Your main task is to challenge the student in their learning and support their knowledge development towards set goals, together with colleagues in the teaching team and subject group. In addition to planning, conducting, and evaluating teaching, you will work with colleagues to develop the school based on prioritized development areas.

Who are you?

You are a certified teacher with eligibility to teach crafts (slöjd) in grades 7–9.

We are looking for someone who is well acquainted with the subject's purpose, skills, and knowledge requirements, and is well-versed in the school's view of knowledge and its value-based mission. You have good knowledge and competence in digital and formative learning processes.

We would appreciate it if you were interested in and had experience with language-developing approaches in the multilingual classroom. You have the ability to motivate and create learning environments characterized by inclusion, variation, and interactivity. You can see and meet every student and build on what works.

You see opportunities in cross-curricular work in collaboration with others. Your learning through collegial learning is a given. You reflect on and analyze your own teaching as a natural part of your practice. You have a great commitment in the classroom and take significant responsibility in your work.

You have excellent ability to build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You are communicative and creative. We would appreciate it if you dare to think and try new things together with others.

Conditions

Permanent position, 100%, starting August 2026.

Police Certificate

Before an employment offer is made, you as a candidate are required to present a certificate from the Swedish Police Authority (extract from the criminal record) for work in any of the following areas: school or preschool, work with children in activities other than school and childcare, work with children according to the LSS Act, work in or in connection with residential care homes (HVB), work with the elderly or persons with disabilities. You order the certificate via the Police website. The certificate must be presented before employment can begin.
