Your new job

This autumn, we are opening a new section in our leisure centre activities where we will welcome new groups of students. We are now looking for several dedicated Leisure Centre Teachers who want to be involved from the start and help build a safe and inspiring environment for the students.

As a Leisure Centre Teacher at Tenhultsskolan, you will:

• Plan, implement, and develop teaching in the leisure centre
• Work creatively with your colleagues to create an engaging learning environment that strengthens both students' knowledge and personal development
• Collaborate closely with teachers and students during the school day to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment

We are looking for someone who is passionate about inspiring and motivating students and who wants to be part of a dedicated team working to create the best possible conditions for our students.

Welcome to us

The Tenhult school area consists of two F-6 schools: Tenhultsskolan and Ödestugu Skola. We have approximately 85 staff members and 560 students.

Here, we work together to develop independent, secure, and responsible individuals. Tenhultsskolan is a large F-6 school with approx. 510 students, located 15 km from Jönköping city centre with good transport links and nature right on your doorstep. There will be seven leisure centres at the school. Ödestugu Skola is a small F-6 school with approx. 50 students, located 28 km from Jönköping city centre, in a beautiful natural setting in the heart of the Ödestugu community. There is one leisure centre at this school.

Your qualifications

We are looking for you who have a degree and certification as a teacher with a specialization in leisure centres.

If you have not yet received your certification, you are also welcome to apply. Experience working in leisure centres and schools is meritorious.

The position suits you if you:

• Are communicative and easily build relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues
• Strive to develop each student's abilities, both academically and socially
• Are flexible and can take overall responsibility for students' development and well-being
• Can work both independently and in a team
• Are skilled at documenting your work and are competent in IT and digital tools

From March 1, 2026, extended register checks were introduced for persons who are to work with children. This means you will need to submit an additional extract prior to employment. Before employing new staff for our teaching positions, we must ensure that a valid teacher certification exists. We therefore ask you to attach a current teacher certification obtained from the Swedish National Agency for Education within the last two months.
