The Traffic Facilities and Parking Unit is a workplace consisting of employees specialized in various areas such as traffic signals, road signs, parking, graffiti removal, stormwater pumping stations, and electrical installations.

We work with installing, maintaining, and monitoring traffic signals, road signs, and electrical installations. We also carry out regular inspections and repairs of these units to ensure their correct function and operational safety.

Another important part of our work is managing parking. We are responsible for implementing parking rules and regulations to promote a smooth and organized parking situation. This may involve putting up parking signs, marking parking spaces, servicing parking meters/parking garages, issuing parking permits, and monitoring compliance with parking regulations.

In addition, we are responsible for graffiti removal and stormwater pumping stations. We work to keep our urban environments free from graffiti by cleaning, restoring damaged surfaces, and maintaining a clean and safe urban environment. Furthermore, we ensure that stormwater pumping stations function correctly and that water drainage from roads operates efficiently to prevent flooding.

DUTIES

At Luleå Municipality, we are now looking for an engaged and responsible parking enforcement officer. As a parking enforcement officer with us, you will work with parking supervision on municipal land, maintenance of parking meters, setting up foundations/posts, and installing road signs.

You play an important role in maintaining order and safety on parking areas, as well as providing good service to parkers.

We work mostly outdoors year-round in all weather conditions.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you with a completed upper secondary education and training in the Act on Control Fees (LKOP), as well as experience working as a parking enforcement officer on private land for at least one year. Driver's license B is required. It is meritorious with training in public law parking supervision, knowledge of road sign installation, and experience working as a parking enforcement officer on public roads.

As a person, you are very flexible and have a strong focus on service. You are stress-resistant and have an excellent ability to handle and solve problems that arise. You are innovative, engaged, and responsible, and you can make decisions. Even on challenging days, you maintain your focus and good mood. You are skilled at collaborating and building good relationships, both with customers and colleagues.
