About the Role

Securitas in Piteå is now looking for a protective security guard for a mission to protect vital societal functions for Sweden. This is a mission for you who not only seek a job – but are ready to take on a task with great responsibility and real significance for our country's supply and security. It is about protecting what must function – 24/7, year-round.

As a protective security guard, you play a crucial role in maintaining the security of operations that are important for Sweden. You work with extended powers, often in close cooperation with our clients.

The work is varied and may include stationary guarding, patrolling, and access control. You will need to make your own decisions in critical situations, have good endurance, and a stable judgment. Therefore, we are looking for someone who has the ability to remain calm when others do not – and who is loyal to Swedish interests.

Protective security is conducted both indoors and outdoors, day and night. As a protective security guard in this position, you work during all hours of the day. The work is done in teams but also independently and requires great responsibility. Shift lengths vary, but are often 12-hour shifts according to a rotating schedule. Since we operate a business that runs every day of the year, it is common to work every other weekend.

The position involves among other things:

• Protecting vital societal functions from robbery, unauthorized access, and other threats.
• Performing checks according to current regulations and instructions.
• Cooperating with personnel and authorities on security matters.

Requirements

Specifically requested requirements:

• Passed grades in Swedish from upper secondary school.
• Category B driver's license and own car to commute to and from work.
• Openness and availability to work in other locations.
• Swedish citizenship.

Meritorious if you also have:

• Civil or military protective security training. If you have completed protective security training with the Swedish Armed Forces as part of the Basic Training (GMU), this can be validated for civil use. The protective security training and GMU must have been completed in 2016 or later, and your certificate of completion must not be older than five years at the time of application.
• Completed guard training (VU1 and VU2).
• Previous experience in guarding protected objects, other security work, or security operations.
• Completed HAS training.
• Passed grades in English from upper secondary school.
