We are now looking for new colleagues to join our team in Gällivare to strengthen our operations in patrolling and stationary work.

Working as a security guard is perfect for you who like working with people and helping them in their daily lives. As a guard at our office in Gällivare, you will become part of a tight-knit group with about 40 employees. The length of work shifts varies, but at this stationary client, we work in shifts, which means work may occur during all hours of the day. Day, night, and even weekends.

This role is a combination role where you will work in both patrolling operations and stationary operations.

As a stationary guard, your main task is to deliver security to one of our customers by being attentive and ensuring everything is in order. Often, you work at the entrance to a larger company and check those entering and leaving, but you may also perform patrolling and video surveillance. The tasks may vary, and that is exactly what makes the security guard profession so exciting – the variety!

You may work independently but also in teams, so you must be able to make your own decisions but also collaborate with colleagues to solve potential problems and tasks together as a group.

It may also be relevant to work with patrolling operations in this role – but the main focus will be on the stationary operations.

As a patrolling guard, you are responsible for performing guarding at several customers during your shift. You travel between customers by car and carry out various types of checks, including area guarding, patrolling inside premises, alarm installations, and closures at customers. In the role, it is important to document your work and any deviations you encounter. The work is independent and often feels free, but with great responsibility. The role of patrolling guard suits you if you want a job where you get to move around. Working hours are mainly at night but also occur during the day.

Lack a security guard education? We cover it!

The basic education is 9 working days long and is conducted in different locations in Sweden before employment begins. As a new employee, you also start with an introduction period to feel secure in your role and be able to handle our systems.

Requirements

• Category B driver's license
• At least 18 years of age

Merits if you

• Have passing grades in Swedish and English at the upper secondary level
• Have a completed security guard education, VU1 and VU2
• Are flexible for shift work
• Have good computer skills as the work involves some computerized systems

For employment within Securitas Sverige AB, you are required to have passing grades from upper secondary school in Swedish and English and be approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company according to the Act (1974:191) on Security Companies (the application is made by Securitas). Depending on the position, a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also become relevant. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements for approval under the respective legislation, a background check is conducted. The assessment concerns law-abidingness, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities. Information collected may come from yourself, open sources, or authorities.

Salary and employment conditions are based on collective agreements between the employer organization Säkerhetsföretagen and the Swedish Transport Workers' Union.
