Adult Reception is a work group within the Adult Department's dependency units at the Social Services Administration. The reception unit consists of 7 case workers, a team leader, and a unit manager. The reception handles reports and applications regarding alcohol and drug abuse. Other tasks within the reception include receiving applications regarding gambling addiction and applications from individuals who have committed domestic violence.

We work standard office hours, and remote work is possible provided the job allows for it. The group has external supervision.

Description of duties

We exercise public authority in accordance with the Social Services Act (SoL) and in some cases also the Care of Abusers Act (LVM). We receive new applications and reports regarding dependency issues. We map out the individual's situation and assess the need for continued support and help based on current legislation.

The target group also includes individuals with gambling addiction and individuals who commit domestic violence, where we investigate and make decisions on interventions. The work involves motivating, assessing, and making decisions on various types of measures. We also have an advisory function. The work also includes on-call duties and assessing and handling various acute situations. We investigate and make decisions on interventions. Documentation is an important part of the work.

We sit together with the other dependency units in the Adult Department and have close cooperation. We also collaborate with, for example, the police, the region, and the prison and probation service, as well as other actors within the municipality. This position will be focused on gambling cases, in addition to regular reception duties. The focus may change based on changed assignments.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are educated as a social worker or have another equivalent education. Experience of working within social services or other public authority work, as well as experience within addiction care, is meritorious. It is also an advantage to have good knowledge of the Social Services Act and the Care of Abusers Act. Furthermore, good system knowledge, for example in Lifecare, is seen as meritorious. The position requires a B-driver's license. Good oral and written skills in Swedish are a prerequisite.
